The Technical Product Manager plays a critical role in supporting the expansion of Ascot’s US based operations. This role will play the dual role of a Product Manager and the Delivery Lead for implementing the changes in underlying systems, including IMS. This person must be able to liaise with the different business partners - Underwriters, Claims, Finance & Accounting, Reinsurance and Operations; and translate those requirements into product features and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with different Lines of Business to understand their products and system requirements to manage those products
- Define, document and maintain business workflows with respect to system interaction
- Support launch of new Lines of Business – set-up for the product, rater mapping, form upload and tagging, system workflow definition etc.
- Manage vendor priorities & quality for custom development, bug resolution and general application support
- Support Business as Usual (BAU) requirements such as updating system configurations, new policy form uploads, updating policy documentation etc.
- Support middle office and back-office functions such as reinsurance, claims, accounting, and compliance.
- Debug issues identified by business users in Live or Test environments by determine root cause and define solution plans
- Liaise with Operations team to support the back office and UW shared services groups
- Manage access and provide administrative support of IMS for the company
- Bring best practices and collaboration as the company grows
- Support company’s audit (internal & external) and security needs
- Assist with additional ad hoc projects as required.
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's or higher education preferred.
- At least 3 years’ experience as a PM with a good understanding of SDLC methodologies like Waterfall & Agile
- Experience with policy Admin systems like IMS is a plus
- Must have Insurance industry experience
- Visio and workflow design skills
- Good understanding of APIs and web-methods
- Working knowledge of SQL
- PMP/PMI certification a plus
- Must be positive, self-motivated, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and verifying data, maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Highly customer-centric both internally and externally.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong collaborative skills in a fast-paced team-centric environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
The salary range for this position is $130,000-$140,000.
