Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Portfolio Management Office (PMO) leader to join our growing and innovative team, reporting to the Chief Information Officer, U.S. In this pivotal role, you will act as a strategic partner to the business leadership and serve as a key facilitator for the entire U.S. IT department. Your expertise in aligning technology initiatives with business objectives will be instrumental in driving organizational performance and ensuring successful project execution. You will be responsible for enhancing IT operational efficiencies, managing IT-related communications, and fostering a culture of collaboration across various teams.
The Vice President, U.S. Portfolio Management Office will play a vital role in the planning and implementation of Ascot U.S. IT strategy, overseeing Project Management Office, System Operation Performance, Resource Allocation, Vendor Management and Budget Management. This role requires an individual with exceptional analytical and leadership skills who can navigate the complexities of IT operations while supporting organizational goals. Your ability to work closely with stakeholders at all levels will be essential as you drive strategies that leverage technology while monitoring current system operation performance.
This influential leadership role requires excellent partnership with IT and Business leadership, executive presence and communication skills, and the ability to motivate large, diverse teams to achieve technology goals that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate has substantial insurance industry experience and a track record of strategic thought leadership and execution in complex, fast-paced enterprises undergoing digital transformation and ongoing operations.
Responsibilities :
- Leads the U.S. Portfolio Management Office and oversees the strategic planning, demand approval, execution and governance of Ascot's technology portfolio
- Chairs the U.S. Portfolio and Investment Committee, managing demand and prioritization of initiatives aligned with business strategy
- Manages the U.S. Project Management team members, building out Project Management expertise Drives operational excellence through monthly IT performance reviews covering project portfolio, systems availability, security, vendor management and resource allocation
- Establishes and maintains portfolio governance framework, ensuring standardized project delivery methodologies, dependencies, risks and best practices
- Partners with Finance to develop and manage IT budgets, track value realization, and maintain 3-year financial forecasts
- Oversees strategic vendor relationships including offshore delivery partnerships
- Manages resource capacity planning and workforce strategies across project and operational teams
- Ensures risk, compliance and audit requirements are met across the IT organization
- Works with internal / external communications as needed on IT, Business and industry messaging

Compensation
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual cash bonus, and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company.
