The Accounts Payable Specialist will provide leadership in all aspects of accounts payable and vendor management, driving automated solutions to address ASE Direct, Inc.'s critical accounts payable needs.
This position will be embedded in a mission-focused operations group and will be responsible for overseeing routine accounts payable activities, ensuring accuracy, and managing multiple contracts. The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of accounts payable and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment, dealing with complex payable solutions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Participate in planning discussions for new business pursuits
- Maintain accurate and complete financial and vendor records
- Develop, implement, and improve policies and departmental controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Negotiate and administer contracts to ensure proper attainment and implementation of contract requirements following company policies
- Support Subcontracts and Purchasing personnel by providing compliant procurement processes and identifying appropriate flow-down provisions
- Identify, track, mitigate, and resolve risk issues
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and customer specifications
- Assist during government audits and reviews
- Handle project setups and modification entries
- Correspond with vendors and the procurement team
Desired Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable
- At least 1 year of Quickbooks experience preferred
- Experience in generating complex accounts payable reconciliations
- Familiarity with T&M, Fixed Price, and Cost Type Contracts
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Project)
- Organized and systematic approach to task management, ensuring timely completion of actions
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, and/or Business Law
