Duties
- Provide one-on-one peer support to individuals experiencing mental health or substance use challenges.
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques to assist clients in managing acute situations.
- Facilitate group sessions that promote recovery and wellness.
- Employ motivational interviewing strategies to empower clients in setting and achieving personal goals.
- Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to develop individualized recovery plans.
- Share personal experiences appropriately to inspire hope and resilience in clients.
- Assist clients in navigating community resources and support systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress.
Requirements
- Certification as a Peer Specialist or equivalent credential.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health systems, addiction counseling, and mental health counseling practices.
- Experience in crisis management and intervention techniques.
- Excellent mentoring skills with the ability to foster trust and rapport with clients.
- Knowledge of social work principles is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
