At Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living, we are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in the Employee Health and Well-Being Center (EHWC). As primary clinical and administrative support for the nurse practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our employees.
The EHWC staffing model consists of one full-time medical assistant and a full-time nurse practitioner. Your work assignments will consist of 85% administrative tasks, including paper filing and recordkeeping, and 15% clinical responsibilities as delegated by the nurse practitioner.
You will report directly to the Director of Operations based out of our home office in Baltimore, MD, and indirectly to the EHWC Nurse Practitioner at the community location.

Responsibilities
- Serve as sole administrative support for the EHWC, assisting the nurse practitioner with daily scheduling, emails, filing, scanning, faxing, and phone calls
- Prepare employees for examination by the nurse practitioner, including recording vital signs and preparing patients for examination
- Perform blood draws, fingerstick, urine drug screens, TB testing, and other point-of-care tests under the direction of the nurse practitioner
- Conduct audits of employee medical records, including insurances and new employee occupational health charts
- Ensure lab compliance and quality assurance measures by recording required data in lab compliance binders
- Communicate with external healthcare facilities to support claims management for work-related injuries
