Expected Hours of Work:
- Monday through Friday, general business hours. Infrequent evening, weekend, and holiday work required as necessary.

JOB SUMMARY:
The team member’s number one job responsibility is to meet the needs of the community by delivering patient-centered, high-quality healthcare and understands how to contribute to the health system’s vision of achieving that commitment to patients, families and team members. The Human Resources Director develops, leads, directs, and coordinates all Human Resources functions of the facility. Oversees the facility recruitment strategy including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new team members. Analyzes and recommends modifications to compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Facilitates team member engagement opportunities. Advises department leaders on organizational policy matters such as evaluations, job descriptions, equal employment opportunity, progressive discipline, etc., and makes recommendations as needed. Facilitates human resources policy and procedure education to department leaders. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Behavior or related field, required.
Ø Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of five years of progressive healthcare-based human resources experience preferred.
License/Certifications: Certification in Healthcare Human Resources (CHHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Demonstrated strongly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Other Skills:
- Experienced in Mediation/Conflict Resolution, Performance Improvement, and Corrective Action processes and procedures.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and innovative drive.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to assess risk, identify and address issues and prioritize.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops and executes facility recruitment strategy. Collaborates with department leaders to recruit, interview, select, and onboard new team members to fill vacant positions, in compliance with Federal, State and local regulations.
- Leverages industry knowledge and intelligence to design and implement a comprehensive Human Resources strategy and corresponding implementation plans.
- Maintains OSHA Report/Regulations and to foster positive attitude toward hospital goals.
- Maintains required records of personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, separations, etc.
- Conducts wage and salary survey within labor market to determine competitive wage rate, analyzing jobs to ensure congruency with position responsibilities.
- Meets with employees and supervisors to resolve grievances.
- Maintains records of team member characteristics for governmental reporting purposes.
- Develops, prepares, amends and makes recommendations for hospital personnel policies to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.
- Completes/transmits annual EEO1 report and all other required reporting.
- Administers the employee benefits program including improvement recommendations and vendor recommendations to ensure competitiveness within the market.
- Serves as a resource for team members to help navigate human resource services.
- Develops, facilitates and executes facility team member engagement strategy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be willing to receive all required vaccinations (i.e., flu shot, etc.).
