Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments.
- Provide proper restraint for animals during procedures to ensure safety for both pets and staff.
- Perform routine tasks such as bathing, grooming, and exercising animals in the kennel.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including exam rooms, surgical areas, and kennels.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team.
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarians or technicians.
- Assist with front desk duties including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing client inquiries.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or kennel setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and husbandry practices is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and basic veterinary procedures is desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
