What are the responsibilities and job description for the Produce PM Assistant Manager position at Ashland Food Co–op?
SCHEDULE: Minimum 40 hours/week
COMPENSATION: Starting at $19.25/hour, non-exempt

Qualifications:
- Experience supervising employees
- Experience with organic produce
- Familiarity/experience with natural foods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. fequently
General Responsibilities:
- Supervise evening operations of the department. Ensure all tasks and responsibilities are being executed up to department expectation by all staff
- To maintain fully-stocked, fresh, and attractive produce displays
- Order and monitor receiving of all produce products, process incoming orders accurately and efficiently
- Take on daily shift work as needed, i.e., receiving, wet case, stocking and other duties as assigned.
- Ensure all departments products are fully stocked and rotated to ensure freshness and availability.
- Orient and train new Produce staff thoroughly as assigned.
- Maintain strict confidentiality about personnel issues.
