Job Title: Inventory Control Manager

Ashley Furniture Industries, a global leader in furniture manufacturing, is seeking a highly strategic and experienced Corporate Inventory Manager to lead our inventory control, product costing, and operational performance efforts across all divisions.
This senior-level role offers a unique opportunity to influence profitability, streamline systems, and lead cross-functional teams that drive real change. You’ll work closely with executives, operations, and finance teams to establish best-in-class inventory and costing processes that support Ashley’s continued growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the development of cost analysis, product pricing systems, and corporate inventory control strategies across multiple manufacturing locations
- Manage and mentor a team of 4–6 professionals while coordinating cross-functional improvement teams focused on cost reduction, process optimization, and margin improvement
- Develop and enforce policies to ensure compliance in inventory controls, product costing, labor reporting, and sales/cost of sales processes
- Conduct internal operational audits and maintain accountability across all divisions
- Partner with senior leadership, engineering, design, and operations to align business goals with financial and inventory strategies
- Provide data-driven insights and operational reporting to drive key business decisions
- Direct internal negotiations related to inventory and costing, and collaborate on pricing with sales and design teams
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 8 years of progressive leadership experience in inventory control within a large, multi-division manufacturing environment
- Expert knowledge in product costing, bills of materials, inventory systems, labor routing, and overhead application
- Proven success leading cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/inventory control systems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-performance culture
