What are the responsibilities and job description for the INSPECTOR QUALITY position at Ashley Job Opportunities?
The Quality Inspector performs product inspection and/or audits of quality assurance of limited complexity, to include sampling and testing of incoming components, packaging line, and manufacturing inspections. The Quality Inspector will test products manufactured by suppliers to ensure conformance or nonconformance with strict Ashley requirements and specifications.
The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting the FSR’s (First Shipment Review); this includes pulling the unit, getting weights and measurements, inspecting the unit, entering in defects and working with the engineering teams for alignment. The Quality Inspector will also help rework projects for any unit that needs fails to meet specifications. This position will work alongside import design on creating the market sample inventory and getting samples ready for market.
Follows established procedures and inspects components based off prescribed tolerances; uses judgement to ensure Go/No Go compliance within pre-established acceptance criteria; frequent interaction to provide basic information and detailed explanations of noncompliance within technical specifications.
Primary Job Functions
- Performs First Shipment Reviews; Assembles and inspect new units.
- Must be able to read, interpret, and apply product specifications and instructions.
- Must be organized and keep track of market samples and adjust inventory as required for market demonstrations.
- Will assist in any product rework discovered during the inspection process.
