Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of bankruptcy law, including Chapters 7 and 13, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients navigating financial difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of consumer bankruptcy matters from inception to resolution.
- Conduct initial consultations and provide clear guidance on bankruptcy options.
- Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and related documents.
- Represent clients at 341 meetings of creditors and other court proceedings.
- Ensure compliance with bankruptcy court rules and deadlines.
- Maintain strong client communication throughout the process.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 experience in consumer bankruptcy, specifically Chapters 7 and 13.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with bankruptcy software (e.g., Best Case) is a plus.
- Commitment to providing excellent client service.
