Staff Accountant - Finance/Accounting   Summary: The Company is seeking a highly engaged individual who will take on a role as a Staff Accountant in a high-growth, start-up mentality culture.   The Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to prepare journal entries and financial information to properly reflect the related transactions on the financial statements as well as creating other related analyses and reports.     Essential Functions of the Position: The following while comprehensive is not totally inclusive of all the duties that may be assigned to the Staff Accountant. The Company reserves the right to change the essential functions of this position at any time.   Staff Accountant Responsibilities: Prepare and upload monthly journal entries Assist in organizing and reconciling physical inventories. Track and analyze physical inventory movements between all locations. Review and process distribution and freight invoices. Reconcile Balance Sheet and P&L accounts Assist in updating the financial package Assist in documenting procedures, creating easy “How To” manuals. Work on special projects as required (Ad-hoc reporting and analyses)   Experience: The ideal candidate would possess: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 0-1 years of financial accounting/general ledger experience Experience with retail environment a plus Proficiency in Excel is required Proficient in NetSuite a plus Ability to manage several projects at once with a strong sense of urgency The ability to meet deadlines and be responsive to various informational requests Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions   Essential Work Requirements: This position requires the ability to: Work in an office setting requiring a great deal of interaction with people Work flexible and, at times, extended work hours
