Position Overview
Responsible for creation and maintenance of construction schedules and templates through use of proprietary web-based system, Dynamic Builder software. Responsible for daily adjustments of all schedules within the division as needed.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for construction scheduling, maintenance of templates and schedules, and the creation of new templates.
- Complete daily adjustments of schedules; and monitor and report schedule adherence.
- Analyze data from reporting to identify and help resolve issues with cycle time and schedule adherence both internal and external (construction staff and trade partners).
- Collaborate with departments (e.g., Construction, Purchasing, Sales, Design, Accounting) to ensure schedules align with division goals.
- Partner with Studio and Starts Coordinator to ensure all new sales are processed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with ACMs and Purchasing around systemic Trade issues and formulate corrective action/next steps.
- Lead starts meeting each week to review what homes are starting and what permits are available.
- Review permits and starts to confirm enough permits in the pipeline to align with the budget.
- Coordinate scheduling of orientation and closing dates between the Construction Department and the Closing Coordinator.
- Report reoccurring scheduling deficiencies to the Director of Construction.
- Monitor cycle times to track weekly reporting current standings to the Director of Construction.
- Other duties as assigned
- H.S. Degree or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least two (2) years of homebuilding construction experience.
- Construction scheduling experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office systems and construction software.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
- Employees in the position are required to be able to hear and have vision sufficient to utilize all office equipment.
- Use of hands and fingers is required to utilize standard office equipment.
- Work from Home will be available as a part of this role with some days each week required in the office in Alpharetta
- Requires occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
