Summary:
We are actively recruiting for both Accounting/Acquisition Analysts who will help expeditiously process invoices for a mission critical North Carolina program in support of Hurricane Helene response. We are looking for people with accounting experience in Accounts Payable and based near Marion, North Carolina. Please see below for more information on the role.
Responsibilities: The Accounting/Acquisition Analysts are responsible for providing accurate accounts payable and disbursement processing services for invoices. Specific duties include:
- Accessing the SharePoint System in order to obtain invoices from each Division.
- Reviewing and processing Direct Payment Invoices and/or Purchase Order Numbered Invoices.
- Utilizing the NC E-Procurement System and the North Carolina Financial System (NCFS) to research, enter and pay invoices for goods and services for all Divisions.
- Reconciling payment data and troubleshooting problems with payments and accounts.
- Consulting with vendors and staff regarding account issues.
The consultants in this position should be able to verify and ensure the accuracy and validity of accounts payable transactions; and have the ability to examine accounting records to assure adherence to accounting standards and regulations; the ability to recognize and solve problems of moderate complexity on a proactive basis; the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of departmental staff; and the ability to explain and interpret financial information while responding to staff and vendors.
Accounting/Acquisition Analyst Requirements:
- Accounting background and experience in Accounts Payable
- Deep experience processing invoices.
- Experience in using Excel.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a related field.
- Three (3) or more years of relevant experience in developing and applying analytic methodologies.
- Ability to lead the application of analytic techniques and assist in defining the project objectives, methodologies, and principles.
- Perform a wide variety of analytical tasks with the continuous improvement of processes, personnel, organization, system, or training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP and Ariba is preferred
- Prior Accounts Payable experience
