A Brief Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator reports directly into the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for supporting all areas in human resources: recruiting, employee relations, performance management, benefits, training & development, workers compensation & unemployment. The HR Coordinator is also responsible for providing customer service for the HR department by greeting the employee population visiting the department, assisting them by gathering general information, scheduling meeting with appropriate HR representative, communicating to an HR representative immediately based upon the urgency of the issue and in general providing a warm welcoming experience for the employee.

What You'll Do

  • HR Systems Support and Data Management:
    • Maintain and monitor the accuracy of data flowing from HRIS to other systems, ensuring that all data integrity is maintained in the destination system(s).
    • Investigate and resolve any system or data issues, unexpected results, or process flaws.
    • Recommend solutions or alternative methods to meet operational requirements.
  • Employee Lifecycle:
    • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training sessions.
    • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and maintain accurate records for new employees.
    • Ensure offboarding processes are accurately and timely completed for all Corporate and retail employees.
    • Coordinate exit procedures by preparing necessary paperwork and scheduling exit interviews when possible.
  • HR Administration:
    • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems.
    • Prepare reports and metrics to support HR initiatives, conducting analyses to identify trends and insights.
  • Compliance & Policy Implementation:
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
    • Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • General Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.
    • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and employee experience.
    • Support HR and other company events
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Abides by all federal, state and local laws


How You'll Be Successful

  • Awareness of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including anti-discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements related to HR practices, including record-keeping and reporting requirements.
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) for managing employee records and data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for creating documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Knowledge of employee engagement strategies, conflict resolution techniques, and how to handle employee concerns.
  • Understanding of recruitment strategies, interview techniques, and candidate evaluation methods.
  • Familiarity with onboarding procedures and best practices to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with employees, management, and external parties.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Careful attention to detail in managing records, documents, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to think critically to identify issues and develop solutions to HR-related challenges.
  • Ability to use resources to seek answers.
  • Strong time management skills to handle deadlines and a busy workload.
  • Understanding the importance of confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.


What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • 0-1 year experience in an HR support role or similar position required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with basic Excel formulas, v-look ups and pivot tables
  • HRIS experience a plus

SALARY / PAY RANGE: $53,848.00 - $59,832.00
