A Brief Overview

The Sr. IT Director for ASICS North America will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the IT strategy for the region. This visionary leader will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of information technology, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and enhancing operational and organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, systems integration, and emerging technologies (i.e. AI adoption / utilization etc.) while demonstrating a commitment to fostering innovation and excellence within the organization. In this role, the Sr. IT Director will collaborate closely with global IT teams and key stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive IT roadmap that supports ASICS's mission and business goals. This includes driving digital transformation initiatives, optimizing IT resources, and ensuring robust cybersecurity measures are in place.

The Sr. Director will also champion data-driven decision-making, leveraging analytics to inform strategic planning and improve internal and external customer experiences. The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader, adept at managing cross-functional teams and cultivating strong relationships across various departments. They will possess exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset, enabling them to effectively convey the IT vision and engage stakeholders at all levels. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to navigate complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Developing and executing the IT strategic roadmap that aligns with ASICS North America's business goals and global objectives.
  • Identify and effectively implement innovative technologies across the organization to enhance business performance, operational efficiency, customer engagement and drive competitive advantage.
  • Partner with global teams to ensure consistency and integration of IT processes, systems, and technologies.
  • Lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver technology solutions that support their goals.
  • Establishing and enforcing IT governance frameworks and security protocols to safeguard company assets and data.
  • Managing IT budgets and resource allocation to optimize performance and return on investment.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

  • Strategic Vision and Planning : Ability to develop and articulate a long-term IT strategy that aligns with organizational goals and drives business growth. This includes identifying emerging technologies and trends that can be leveraged for competitive advantage.
  • Leadership and Team Management : Strong leadership skills to inspire and manage cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Experience in mentoring and developing IT professionals to enhance team performance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication : Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders, including executive leadership, business units, and global teams. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language to facilitate understanding and buy-in.
  • Project Management Expertise : Proficiency in managing large-scale IT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Strong ability to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources effectively, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Cybersecurity and Risk Management : In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, with the capability to implement robust security measures and risk management strategies that protect organizational assets and data.
  • Budgeting and Financial Acumen : Experience in managing IT budgets, optimizing costs, and making data-driven financial decisions to ensure efficient use of resources while achieving strategic objectives.
  • Change Management and Digital Transformation : Ability to lead organizational change initiatives, particularly related to digital transformation efforts. Expertise in guiding teams through technology adoption and helping to cultivate a mindset that embraces innovation.
  • Compliance Governance Expertise : Knowledge of compliance with all related government, ITGC (Information Technology General Controls), SOX / JSOX, and GDPR / CCPA requirements. Stay current with the legal and fiscal environment.
  • Systems Expertise : Knowledge of protocols and standards, including but not limited to : SAP, Security, Cisco Networks, IP / VPN, SD-WAN, Windows Server / Active Directory / Exchange, and Unified Communications
  • What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts / Sciences (BA / BS) in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Information Technology or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience required
  • 10 years progressive experience within IT Leadership roles leading and managing IT teams and projects at a strategic level required
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing IT teams in a multi-country or global organization preferred.
  • Experience working with SAP required; experience working with FMS / AFS preferred.
  • SALARY / PAY RANGE : $199,000 - $240,000 annually
