Job Title: Software Engineer 2- Checkout & Wishlist Team
Location: Seattle, WA 98101 (Hybrid 3 Days/Week)
Duration: 6 Months (Potential to Extension/Hire)
Schedule: 8 AM -5 PM (40 hrs/week)
Pay Rate Range: $65 - $67 on W2
Job Description:
Join Clients Checkout & Wishlist Team as a Software Engineer 2, contributing to the design, development, and testing of key features for the next-generation checkout platform. Engage with partner teams to deliver top-notch customer experiences at the heart of conversion funnel.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with local and partner teams for seamless integration
- Participate in agile development and planning processes
- Write maintainable code for RESTful services, event-driven systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure following secure coding practices
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of engineering standards, concepts, and principles
- Design interactions between modules and monitor business metrics
- Conduct automated testing to ensure code quality
- Identify and optimize performance issues in solutions and infrastructure
- Create custom metrics, alerts, and dashboards for effective monitoring
- Ensure adherence to best engineering practices throughout the solution
- Engage in code reviews and collaborate with software engineers on design and best practices
Skills:
- Experience in developing RESTful services and event-driven applications
- Proficiency in Go Lang, Java, .Net, or similar object-oriented programming languages
- Knowledge of AWS services like ECS, Fargate, Elastic Cache Redis, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.
- Familiarity with Linux/Docker, open-source software development, and test automation
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and ops tools such as New Relic and Splunk
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for new technologies, operational excellence, and customer impact
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
