ASM Engineering Consultants is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Technician to join our team on a full-time, in-office basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support civil and rail infrastructure projects through drafting, design, and plan preparation—especially site plans, grading, and utility designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
The ideal candidate will be collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed site plans, grading plans, and utility designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Support civil engineers and fellow technicians across a range of infrastructure and rail projects.
- Ensure work is completed on time and meets company standards for quality and accuracy.
- Manage project workloads and priorities with a high degree of organization.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D with strong drafting and design skills.
- Strong understanding of construction systems, techniques, and industry standards.
- Ability to produce high-volume, error-free drawings.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Education & Experience
- Preferred: Associate’s degree or higher in a related field and at least 2 years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Alternatively: At least 4 years of hands-on AutoCAD Civil 3D experience in a civil engineering setting.
