GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening at the Pensacola Bay Center for a Box Office Assistant Manager. The Assistant Manager supports the daily operation of the box office through supervision of staff for selling tickets on a computerized ticketing system, reconciling ticket sales with daily reports, handling and processing ticket requests and coordinating manifest and event info with Ticketmaster.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sells tickets to patrons on daily and event basis on computerized Ticketmaster system
- Updates and coordinates all event information for ticket sellers
- Handles ticket requests and processes accessible seating request
- Opens and closes the box office independently
- Prints daily audits for Bay Center events; input data on spreadsheets; prints daily sales reports, prints end of day reports
- Oversee all ticketing accounting regarding daily receipts, deposits, cash handling, etc.
- Assists in working with event promoter and appropriate personnel to establish ticket pricing and seating configuration
- Assists in coordinating the house scaling for all ticket events
- Maintains communication with Ticketmaster representatives for updates and/or revisions in computer operations
- Monitors daily ticket sales for all upcoming events and communicate information to the Director and promoter representative
- Maintains accurate record of daily balance of cash received, tickets sold and change bank/vault
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, responds promptly to customer needs, responds to accessible seating requests for service and assistance, able to work independently and handle most box office question without assistance
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises and schedules part-time ticket sellers for daily and/or event operations
- Assists with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Box Office daily operations
- Demonstrate supervisory responsibilities following ASM Global policies and applicable laws
- Interview, hire and train employees; plan, assign and direct work; review and evaluate performance; address complaints and resolve problems
- Assume Box Office Manager duties in the absence of the Box Office Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Demonstrated knowledge of ticket selling, box office operation, cash handling, credit card processing
- Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices with the ability to coordinate and schedule staff
- Knowledge of problem-solving techniques, organizational ability and demonstrated public relations skills
- Good communications skills
- Ability to input data into a computer to record sales transactions
- Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule to produce accurate results and meet deadlines
- Able to assess situations using decision-making authority both independently and as a member of a team
- Required to be subject to a credit check and a background screening
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required with significant related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting and/or equivalent preferred
- Cash handling and customer service experience required
- Experience in management, supervision and box office operations in an arena or stadium environment preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate skill in Windows, MS Office, Adobe, and Data Entry. Other software and computerized ticketing systems experience preferred.
