Job Overview: Join our team at the Raising Cane's River Center, a premier multi-venue facility in Baton Rouge, LA, as a Part-Time Event Staff-Guest Services Liaison. Our facility boasts an Arena, exhibition hall, ballroom, meeting rooms, and a theater, hosting a diverse range of events throughout the year. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to assist in event coordination and guest services across our various venues. This part-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of events while accommodating your schedule.
Responsibilities:
Pre-Event Planning Assistance:
- Collaborate with the Event Manager and Event Coordinators to assist in pre-planning event details across multiple venues.
- Coordinate logistics such as venue setup, equipment rental, and vendor communication for different event spaces.
Day-of Event Support:
- Provide hands-on assistance on the day of the event for setup and tear down of equipment, decorations, and other necessary items in various venues.
- Serve as a point of contact for guests, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed in different event spaces.
- Ensure that all aspects of the event run smoothly and according to plan in each venue.
Last Minute Task Assistance:
- Assist with any last-minute tasks or changes that may arise before or during events in different venues.
- Remain flexible and adaptable to meet the dynamic needs of each event space.
Availability for Early Morning or Evening Events:
- Be available to work early morning or evening events across multiple venues as required by the event schedule.
Event Planning Support:
- Collaborate with the Event Manager and Event Coordinators in the planning and execution of events in various venues.
- Provide input and assistance in developing event timelines, agendas, and other planning documents for each event space.
Monthly Event Schedule Creation:
- Assist in creating the monthly event schedule for Event Staff, PFE (Preferred Freelance Employees), and Allied partners, considering events across all venues.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure adequate coverage for all scheduled events in different event spaces.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event coordination or related field preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules across multiple venues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of event planning best practices and industry trends is a plus.
