JOB DESCRIPTION:

With a growing team of talented professionals and a commitment to delivering next-generation products, we are looking for a Director of Product Strategy & Design to lead our product department, refine our product development processes, and drive the overall product strategy as we grow. The Director of Product Strategy & Design will play a key leadership role in shaping the direction of our product suite and ensuring a seamless, efficient, client-centric product development process. You will work closely with the executive team, engineering, and marketing teams to drive the vision, design, and execution of our products while creating a structured and scalable product development framework. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of our products and processes as we continue to scale our organization to better serve the needs of ag retailers nationwide.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision that aligns with business goals and client needs.
  • Develop and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring it is focused on client needs and key business objectives.
  • Utilize market research, competitor analysis, and leverage client feedback loops to drive informed product decisions.
  • Work with the leadership team to translate business strategy into actionable product goals and metrics

Product Development Process

  • Establish and optimize the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, to ensure efficiency and alignment across all teams.
  • Develop and implement a robust product management framework that includes clear processes for prioritization, resource allocation, and timelines.
  • Establish design systems and UX/UI standards that ensure product consistency.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and iterate quickly on feedback.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between product, engineering, design, and other departments to ensure successful product delivery.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing product and design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support for product owners and other team members, helping them grow in their roles.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring the team is equipped with the right tools, processes, and knowledge to excel.

Design Leadership

  • Oversee the product design process, ensuring that user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design align with the overall product vision and client needs.
  • Advocate for a user-centered design approach and integrate design thinking throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure consistent and innovative product designs that resonate with users and drive engagement.

Scaling the Organization

  • Collaborate with leadership to scale product processes and teams as the business grows, ensuring sustainable and effective product development.
  • Identify tools, systems, and practices that allow the organization to efficiently scale its product capabilities.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years of experience in product management, product strategy, and design, with a strong background in software development.
  • Proven experience building and leading high-performing product teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of product development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Lean.
  • Experience establishing and refining product development processes, from ideation through to product launch and iteration.
  • Expertise in product design, UX/UI best practices, and user-centered design principles.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into actionable product initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive product innovation and design excellence in a growing organization.
  • A data-driven mindset, with the ability to measure product success and iterate based on real user feedback.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working in a software development company with a similar growth trajectory.
  • Familiarity with SaaS products and cloud technologies.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), with proven success in aligning teams around quarterly goals.
