About the Job:
The ASPCA's Recovery & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Canine Enrichment Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging enrichment activities for canine residents, promoting their mental and physical well-being.
Main Responsibilities:
- Enrichment Design: Develop and implement stimulating enrichment activities for canine residents
- Housing Preparation: Clean, sanitize, and prepare animal housing areas according to established protocols
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the eating, drinking, and elimination habits of every animal and report any concerns to relevant teams
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with behavior and veterinary team members to ensure open and ample communication, excellent care, and close monitoring of every animal
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Professional, academic, or volunteer animal care experience with dogs preferred
- Fear Free Shelter Program certification required or completed within 60 days of hire
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle history check demonstrating safe driving
