What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN/LPN Infection Preventionist position at Aspen Hills/ Buttonwood?
Aspen Hills Healthcare Center is seeking an Infection Preventionist. The proper will be responsible for the development, direction, implementation, management and operation of the the infection prevention in the long term care facility.
- Assist the Director of Nursing with daily responsibilities.
- Review new admissions if they are on Antibiotics or Infections
- COVID-19 employee testing according to guidelines
- NHSN Reporting
- Conducting weekly infection control rounds with appropriate interdisciplinary team members
- Oversight of Antibiotic Stewardship Program
- Coordinating, overseeing, and auditing in-house employee flu vaccinations and TB screenings
- Coordinating administration of resident Flu/Pneumonia vaccinations
- Chairing the meetings of the Infection Control Committee
- Make daily rounds for observation of the care of residents and provide education to staff as necessary
- Maintain employee health files
- Effective communication with physicians and team members
- Oversee Weekly Wound Rounds
Must be an RN/LPN with 3 years' experience. We offer a competitive salary range of $85K - $95K per year (depending on experience), and a generous benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, matched 401(k), and PTO days for full-time staff.
