We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Records Office Assistant to join our hospice team in Bastrop, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in an office environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with medical records systems, contributing to the overall patient experience and office functionality.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and staff and manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist in the cleanliness and organization of the office space and storage facilities.
- Coordinate communication between patients and their hospice provider or staff
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining cleanliness of the office environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is highly desirable, Homecare Homebase experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with patients and healthcare staff.
