JOB TITLE: Strategic Sales Manager

REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer


SUMMARY: The Strategic Sales Manager promotes company products and services to referral sources and patients to achieve business growth goals.

 

This strategic role combines oversight and leadership responsibilities with active, hands-on duties in the assigned territory, including sales calls, meeting patients when necessary, and managing referral activity.   


The Strategic Sales Manager will establish and maintain relationships with referral sources, work toward achieving sales targets, and provide leadership, direction, and ongoing management of all aspects of the sales department. This role requires a highly motivated, results-driven professional who can develop and build solid and lasting relationships.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Represent the company professionally and courteously in all interactions.
  • Pursue development of new business with potential referral sources and patients.
  • Actively work towards achieving and exceeding established sales targets and company growth goals.
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and support to the sales team to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and achievement of performance metrics.
  • Develop new and existing business relationships with referral sources and patients, emphasizing customer retention.
  • Create and administer the company’s advertising and public relations campaigns, including developing print and media initiatives; coordinate with external agencies as needed.
  • Represent the company at industry events in a professional manner that will enhance the company’s public image and reputation.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and marketing activities and communicate up-to-date information with other company departments.
  • Conduct market analysis; develop actionable sales strategy, goals, and plans.
  • Complete surveys as required by ACHC.
  • Participate in company committees when requested.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to the sales team as appropriate, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Train, motivate, and develop any new sales team members; manage schedules and workflow.
  • Participate in the company’s Performance Improvement program as requested 
  • Attend in-service education programs provided by the company.
  • Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities.
  • Report any misconduct, suspicious, or unethical activities to Human Resources. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Participate in monthly strategy sessions with the Sales Advisory Consultant


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • At least five years or equivalent Sales experience working with hospitals, facilities, physicians, nurses, case managers, and medical groups.
  • Must have a car with current insurance coverage and a valid driver’s license.
  • Must provide relevant documents for hospital clearance (immunizations, background, training, and required policies).
  • Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and interact effectively and positively with healthcare professionals, patients, peers, and management.
  • Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
  • Ability to evaluate options and make efficient decisions.
  • Computer skills include proficiency with spreadsheets and efficient use of e-mail (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, CRM platforms).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Continually required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 30 pounds. 
  • Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
