About the Role - We are seeking a Recruitment Partner (RP) with experience in both recruitment and niche specialty insurance. RP experience includes managing the full hiring process, including high competency to source own candidates, working with hiring managers, and ensuring the right candidate fit. Niche (re)insurance expertise involves specialized knowledge in areas like underwriting, claims, or actuarial, particularly within Property & Casualty insurance. Candidates must have both recruitment and insurance industry experience to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities -
- Delivering an exceptional client and candidate experience – high-touch, white glove service
- Own full desk (360) recruiting from open to sourcing candidates, screening candidates and owning the verbal offer process
- Taking full ownership of all perm and temporary requisitions in the US and Bermuda within perm and temporary requisitions
- Managing both agency and internal candidate channels effectively to ensure a diverse pool of qualified candidates
- Conducting detailed intake briefing calls, incorporating valuable data-driven insights from RWIntelligence
- Writing business cases for recruitment activity if going to source out to recruitment agency
- Upholding high standards by ensuring that all shortlisted candidates align closely with the hiring brief
- Managing Hiring Manager relationship and expectations
- Updating Hiring Managers and stakeholders with progress weekly, including written updates and candidate outreach tracker
- Providing comprehensive feedback and skillful negotiation during the offer process
- Managing the offer process
- Take on a leadership role within the team, serving as the go-to person for guidance and support.
- Lead initiatives, mentor team members, and step into a leadership role in the absence of the Regional Manager.
- Empowerment to expand responsibilities and influence the team to drive outcomes.
- Acting as a reliable Business Partner, collaborating closely with the Aspen hiring community.
Line Manager Relationship Management -
- Meeting with each Hiring Manager to discuss new vacancies and agree to the resourcing strategy
- Providing regular market information and weekly updates from both internal and external sources
- Assisting in writing attractive advertisement for external candidate interest
- Regularly meeting with Hiring Managers to discuss process, policy and promoting direct recruitment as both a cost saving initiative and value-added service
Process and Procedure Compliance -
- Ensuring 100% compliance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets
- Ensuring in-house recruitment management solution is accurate and up to date at all times with 100% data integrity
- Ensuring compliance with all client policies (including approval systems, compensation policies, e-mail policies, cost management, etc)
- Other duties which are reasonably within the capabilities of a staff member in this position may need to be performed from time to time, in addition to or instead of the above duties.
- The requirements of this role may change over time and staff are required to comply with all such reasonable changes
Qualifications -
- 7 years as a Recruitment Partner, prefer full life cycle experience
- 2 years’ experience within Reinsurance or Insurance (specialty, property & casualty) as client-facing Recruitment Partner preferred
- Functional experience in Finance, Claims, HR, Marketing, Communications preferred
- Ability to work hybrid working pattern (3 days per week) on client site (Rocky Hill, CT or Jersey City, NJ)
- Experience with RPO and MSP highly desirable
- Experience conducting data-led intake sessions
- Highly organized and conscientious of data integrity and updating candidate records in real-time via applicant tracking system
- Highly process-driven and organized to handle a very high-touch, complex process and client
- Experience driving effective recruitment strategies with sourcing own candidates for highly niche roles
- Experience with SuccessFactors or similar applicant tracking systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software: PowerBI, Sharepoint
