Development Events Assistant

Assist the Director of Annual Giving and Special Events with fundraising and cultivation events over the course of the 8-week Festival season.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute, with supervision of the Director of Annual Giving and Special Events, of approximately fifteen fundraising events, including two benefits
• Field calls from donors and other constituents, including RSVPs for events, asking for meal and seating preferences, and coordinating delivery of auction items
• Assist with data entry in Raisers' Edge
• Help execute event design concepts
• Assist with promotion and marketing of events
• Coordinate with other AMFS departments as needed

The development events assistant will manage guest lists and track payments; communicate with operations and technical crew regarding set-up and A / V needs; assist Director of Annual Giving and Special Events in communicating with vendors; help manage beverage supply; staff all fundraising and cultivation events; create and send event invitations and reminders; update event attendance and donor communication in Raiser's Edge; communicate with hosts when appropriate; and coordinate auction logistics.

Hired candidate is required to attend virtual pre-season training in May (scheduled based on availability).

Compensation

12.50 / hour plus housing provided by AMFS (valued at a minimum of $4.91 / hour depending on location.) Overtime $22.22 / hour

The overall non-local compensation for this position, including hourly pay ($12.50 / hour) and housing ($4.91 / hour), exceeds the 2024 Colorado minimum wage of $14.81.

Virtual pre-seasong training pay rate is 14.81 / hour.

Benefits include AMFS season pass and paid sick time.
