What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Services Coordinator position at Aspen Music Festival?
The Student Services Coordinator will be the main point of contact for the office of Student Services, supporting students and artist-faculty who represent the major U.S. conservatories and orchestras. In an office that is responsible for every aspect of the student experience as well as education and programming for the community, this position will report to the Assistant Dean of Enrollment and Student Programming and will help support all Student Services year-round staff including the Assistant Dean of Admissions and Student Life, the Manager of Education and Community Programming, and the Vice President and Dean of Students. Hours are varied and will include evening and weekend commitments.
Responsibilties
- Perform administrative duties to ensure organized and well-coordinated office operations including (but not limited to) : Registration preparation; student recital, masterclass, competition sign-up; assisting with student communications, student payroll, health service procedures, form collection, scheduling appointments, and database updates; provide assistance for Education and Community programming as needed; fielding questions and concerns from students, artist-faculty, and staff
- Manage a variety of recitals, competitions, master classes, lectures, and more from preparation to execution. Responsibilities may include working with artist-faculty to select repertoire, coordinating logistical details with performers and operations staff, providing operation support at the performance venue, and introducing the event
- Through these and other responsibilities, the coordinators will gain valuable experience working in Slate, which is today's leading admissions software

This position is eligible for a pre-season, remote, hourly contract beginning in May.
Compensation
12.50 / hour plus housing provided by AMFS (valued at a minimum of $4.91 / hour depending on location.) Overtime $22.22 / hour
The overall non-local compensation for this position, including hourly pay ($12.50 / hour) and housing ($4.91 / hour), exceeds the 2024 Colorado minimum wage of $14.81.
Benefits include AMFS season pass and paid sick time.
