Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Education Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality educational programming, promoting community engagement, and supporting mental health initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in youth and adult classroom education, community outreach, event planning, content creation, and data collection. The Education Coordinator will work collaboratively to design and implement educational programs, plan and execute mental health conferences, and develop educational and marketing materials to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Youth and Adult Presentations, Education & Trainings
- Plan and deliver engaging educational presentations on mental health and wellness topics to various community groups, schools, and organizations including first responders, healthcare professionals and social workers
- Develop lesson plans and curriculum materials in alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
- Ensure programming delivered in accordance with ASPEN Network Inc processes and procedures for assigned schools and presentations
- Community Outreach & Resource Management
- Build and maintain relationships with local community organizations, schools, and businesses to increase awareness and access to mental health resources.
- Conduct outreach to diverse populations, ensuring educational materials are accessible and inclusive.
- Assist in research and identification of barriers and resource related needs impacting assigned region or county
- Follow the ASPEN quarterly, bi-annual and annual resource update schedule to ensure all resources in the ASPEN Network Inc. Resource Directory is updated and maintained. As assigned
- Mental Health Conference Planning:
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of mental health conferences and workshops, including logistics, speaker coordination, attendee registration, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and speakers to ensure event objectives are met and participant needs are addressed.
- Educational & Marketing Materials Design:
- Create, design, and update educational materials such as brochures, flyers, handouts, and digital content that effectively communicate key messages related to mental health awareness and community resources.
- Work with the Executive Director and Program Manager to ensure materials align with branding and are impactful.
- Data Collection & Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and report data related to program effectiveness, participant engagement, and community outreach efforts.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for program improvement based on data findings.
- Communication
- Maintain strong internal and external communication. Serve as the primary point of contact for presentation and training functions for adult and school related events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with school and organization administration for program scheduling, IT related needs, training and other related needs.
- Communicate with the Executive Director and Program Manager regarding project related needs, including but not limited to; IT issues, parent communication, scheduling, contract questions, concerns, and marketing needs.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of education and outreach initiatives.

- Assist in the development and review of program strategies to meet the evolving needs of the community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Prevention or Marketing or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience in education, program facilitation, or community outreach, preferably in the mental health, prevention or public health sectors.
- Energetic and excited to connect with individuals or groups in the community
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience in developing educational materials, including print and digital content.
- Event planning and coordination experience, particularly for conferences or large-scale community events.
- Knowledge of mental health issues and available resources in the community is a plus.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Powerpoint in particular) and data collection tools; familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with diverse populations and in culturally sensitive settings.
Working Conditions:
- Position may require occasional evening and weekend work for events and outreach activities.
- Travel within Jefferson County and the surrounding areas may be required for community outreach and event coordination.
- Flexible work arrangements may be available, depending on organizational needs.
