Position Summary
The Wholesale Sales Associate is a highly motivated sales professional responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with cannabis dispensaries and retailers. While a background in cannabis is not required, exceptional sales acumen and the ability to build rapport quickly are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential clients, establishing relationships with dispensaries, retailers, and other partners.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective prospecting and closing techniques.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow territory revenue.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing exceptional customer service and follow-up.
- Understand client needs and recommend products that align with their business goals.
- Handle objections and negotiate terms to achieve win-win outcomes.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our cannabis products, including their features, benefits, and compliance requirements.
- Educate clients on new product offerings, market trends, and regulations.
- Track and report on sales metrics, pipeline progress, and client feedback.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with local and state cannabis regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in sales with at least 2-3 years of experience in B2B sales, wholesale, or a similar field.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish trust and credibility with clients quickly.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- A self-starter with a drive to exceed sales goals and work independently.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales tracking software.
