Maintenance Technician National Travel (Based out of Jacksonville, FL)
About the Company & Opportunity:
Aspen Square Management, one of the nation's largest privately owned property management companies, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team of skilled tradesman to travel throughout the country to work on-site at our residential communities. Well known and respected in the industry for renovating, repositioning and remarketing apartments.
Our ideal candidate for this role would not only have the experience as a Maintenance Technician, but also already have the knowledge and experience OR the willingness to learn other trades such as welding.
Our company specializes in Interior and Exterior Renovation, Landscaping and Special Projects. Within these scopes of work there are various different welding projects such as exterior stair cases and railings, pool fences and general welding. With some of these projects not consuming 100% of your hours a week- we ask that the right candidate help out in the other aspects of projects we execute either with previous knowledge or willingness to learn in general apartment maintenance.
What Does the Job Entail?
- Travel nationally to our communities located throughout the country and work hands-on performing routine residential maintenance and repairs
- Assist in the upkeep and repair of apartment homes, leasing offices, clubhouses, business centers & fitness centers
- Join a family of traveling tradesmen who have traveled the country for Aspen for years and work alongside our onsite crew
Position Description:
- Complete assigned work orders promptly and efficiently
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems, performing repairs and preventive upkeep
- Prepare apartments for new residents, make readys, and punch list
- Welding and staircase repair
- Collaborate closely with our maintenance and office teams to uphold property standards
- Uphold the visual appeal of the property, maintaining its curb appeal
- Provide top-notch customer service to our residents
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of residential maintenance experience required
- Experience in HVAC required; EPA Universal certification preferred
- Welding experience required
- Experience in plumbing and electrical
- Be able to travel on the following schedule: 4-5 weeks on 1 week off (average rotation may change pending on time of year)
- Go-getter mentality and work ethic
- Enjoy working with others in a team environment, must be an excellent team player
- Must possess a valid drivers license and have reliable transportation to and from work
