Aspen Total Automotive (ATA) is the largest auto repair shop in Aspen. As the primary auto shop for over 90% of Aspen’s local enterprises and residents, we have a constant flow of business. ATA has a great team of six mechanics and a wonderful front office team. Position Summary
At Aspen Total Automotive, the Parts Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the efficiency of our repair operations and the satisfaction of our customers. This role is responsible for sourcing and managing parts through strong vendor relationships and coordination with our service team. Beyond logistics, the Parts Specialist contributes to the overall customer experience by supporting shop operations, assisting at the front counter, and ensuring timely communication and scheduling. Your attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism will directly support ATA’s reputation as Aspen’s go-to shop for trusted automotive service.
Pay Range

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ordering & Managing Parts:As the Parts Specialist, you’ll play a key role in keeping our repair process smooth and efficient. You will work closely with our mechanics and service managers to identify and source the correct parts for each job. This includes partnering with trusted vendors to ensure we receive high-quality parts at competitive prices, while building and maintaining strong relationships with our supplier reps. Once parts arrive, you’ll be responsible for checking them in, verifying accuracy, and coordinating with the service team to ensure the customer is promptly scheduled to return for their repair appointment.
Office Support: Perform a variety of customer service and administrative duties as needed by the shop. This may include such things as answering phones, moving cars, picking up vehicles, running various errands, updating the workflow-board, checking-in/out customers, cleaning the office, assisting customers at the counter, performing callbacks to previous clients, helping with customer loaner cars, and other tasks as directed by business need.
Preparing Quotes & Sales: Assist the service managers in creating simple quotes (brake jobs, tire swaps, etc.) for customers using Shop Management Software. When needed, assisting in selling repairs and services to customers under the guidance of a Service Manager.
Qualifications
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current driver’s licenses.
- Driving record acceptable to our current insurance carrier.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Windows based computer software and automotive store applications.
- Experience in automotive customer service and service sales
- High school diploma or GED
- Associates degree or undergraduate degree
Physical requirements:
- Being on your feet for the majority of the workday (standing, walking, etc). We have adjustable standing desks.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs. (Tires, parts, etc.)
- Driving manual transmission vehicles. (Not required)
- Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
