POSITION OBJECTIVES:
The Accounting / HR Manager reports to the Controller. In this capacity, the primary areas of responsibility will include assisting in the daily management of the Accounting Department, overseeing accounting areas including inventory management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, data entry, general accounting as well as payroll and generalist HR functions. In addition, this function may also support the Club Controller in other accounting and financial areas, based on business needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Human Resources / Payroll duties (Paylocity) for 50 full time employes, 100 seasonal employees:
· Process biweekly payroll
· Complete onboarding for new hires.
· Coordinate employee benefit for new hires and annual enrollment.
· Maintain employee files.
· Maintain Workers Compensation files.
Accounts Payable:
· Back up accounts payable clerk – entering vendor invoices.
· Approve accounts payable batches.
· Process\File 1099 annually.
· Reconcile vendor statements.
· Process weekly accounts payable checks.
Accounts Receivable:
· Reconciliation of membership counts by type of membership.
· Bill and set up new members monthly billing.
· Daily post members payments to accounts receivable.
· Reconcile banquet\third party billing\member events.
· Maintain member function questionnaire.
· Reconcile Daily POS
· Issue monthly statements to members.
· Respond to members’ questions concerning their statements.
· Process adjustments to members accounts as needed.
Other functions:
· Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts monthly:
· Issue monthly department variance reports to manager.
· Assist with annual audit.
· Assist with annual budget process.
· Process\file monthly CT Sales & Use, dues tax

· Responsible for ensuring that all accounting and Human resources duties are handled professionally and accurately according to AVCC accounting standards and that proper records (digital and paper) are maintained
· Ability to manage key accounting functions by setting the appropriate expectations and monitoring results
Requirements
Education and Experience:
· Minimum High school degree with 2 to 5 years’ experience in progressive accounting in a business of similar capacity. Bachelor degree a plus.
· Prior private Club, Food and Beverage and / or Golf Operations cost control experience is desirable.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
· Financial acumen
· Solid interpersonal skills / communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize based on business needs
· Strong Computer Literacy required, i.e. solid NorthStar or similar accounting Software, Paylocity or similar Payroll / HR software, Microsoft Excel, and Word skills
Food and Beverage and Golf Operation Knowledge for Inventory and purchasing management (supply and storage capabilities, knowledge of function requirements, knowledge of supplies needed, etc…) a plus
Language and Communication Skills:
· Outgoing, warm, caring, with a hospitality mindset.
· Must be able to communicate & interact professionally with all members, employees from various departments and Club Bank at all times.
Physical, sensory and motor demands:
· Ability to work on a computer for extended hours.
· Ability to move occasional file boxes.
· Good visual acuity
Salary : $38,800 - $49,200
