Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Sales Account Manager to oversee all sales as it relates to reporting, analyzing, budgeting and most important, ensuring customer satisfaction. The Sales Account Manager must have excellent communication skills, a high level of organization, and a passion for building long-term relationships. In addition, the person must understand sales methods and can achieve a high level of closing percentages. The Key to this role is being customer obsessed. - Determines annual sales and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends and results.
- Collaborate and co-sell with sister company.
- Identify potential clients through research, networking, and cold calling to create a strong pipeline of leads.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas; projecting expected sales volume and profit.
- Implements sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
- Responsible for organizing and discovering all potential bid opportunities.
- Maintains sales volume and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Completes sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
- Proactively follow up on leads, quotes, and proposals to convert opportunities into sales.
- Required to attend and administer weekly sales meeting; ensure that all relevant material is discussed.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Responsible to administer and maintain an accurate database of sales history by use of Microsoft CRM.
- Ability to address customer issues, optimize solutions, and find innovative ways to improve the customer experience.
Sales Manager Skills and Qualifications :
Sales experience preferably within the trucking, transportation, or logistics industry. Experience selling aggregate material a plus. Meeting Sales Goals, Negotiation, Selling to Customer Needs, Motivation for Sales, Sales Planning, Building Relationships, Coaching, Managing Processes, Market Knowledge, Developing Budgets, Staffing, Microsoft CRM, Microsoft Excel.
