What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Early Intervention Program Assistant position at Aspire Developmental Services Inc?
To support client language needs (Spanish) and Early Intervention programming to ensure smooth, high-quality operations within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpretation & Translation:
- Provide accurate and professional interpretation services for clients and staff in various settings, including in-person home visits and phone communication.
- Assist in translating documents, forms, and educational materials as needed.
Administrative & Office Support:
- Perform general office tasks, including data entry, filing, record management, and scheduling.
- Assist in preparing materials and logistics for meetings and trainings.
- Provide reception support, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries.
Program & Client Support:
- Assist in organizing and supporting child group activities.
- Help coordinate outreach efforts to Spanish-speaking families.
- Support communication between families and service providers, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Engage in classroom activities to support child development and IFSP outcomes.
- Provide coverage as needed in teacher assistant roles.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
- Flexibility and willingness to assist co-workers as needed.
- Foundational understanding of child development
- Experience in an administrative or interpretation role is a plus
