POSITION SUMMARY: The Supervisor of GSE/Facilities is responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating the prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of Facilities GSE equipment and , housekeeping and security. This is a supervisory-level position that reports to the Vice-President of Customer Service and Support. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:

  • Manages, plans, and coordinates all Facilities and GSE activities.
  • In conjunction with the Vice-President Customer Service, Support, develops short and long-term goals and objectives. Provides suggestions and recommendations.
  • Develops department policies and procedures and ensures that they support and complement company-wide strategic objectives.
  • Supervises and directs all assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance. Manages personnel decisions in conjunction with HR including hiring, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions; Conducts performance appraisals as required; formulates and implements employee corrective actions as needed.
  • Lays out roles and responsibilities and provides each employee with their list of expectations.
  • Coordinates what TDI has Identified as issues, TDI will monitor and troubleshoots problems.
  • Coordinates, records work performed and completes maintenance history logs.
  • Maintains and repairs production and GSE equipment as needed.
  • Maintains and orders supplies and parts as needed.
  • Controls and accounts for equipment.
  • Coordinates with TDI which monitors equipment and performs troubleshooting for problems and breakdowns.
  • Coordinates with TDI which maintains and repairs facilities including basic plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Maintains grounds, parking lots, and driveways.
  • Works with Security to monitor and maintain safe work environment.
  • Coordinates with our Housekeeping group and makes sure to maintain all supplies to keep them busy and efficient.
  • Works with and provides recommendations to repair or replace poorly functioning equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains equipment in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Efficiently prioritizes repair schedule to ensure an uninterrupted production schedule.
  • Conducts regular facilities inspections.
  • Assumes responsibility for completion of related maintenance record keeping and administration.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company personnel and with the Manager of TDI Facilities.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 4 years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Managing and directing people to help maintain the facility.
  • Additional related education or training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in indoor and outdoor settings. The indoor settings include office, restroom, kitchen, and warehouse environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as cleaning supplies and hand tools. The outdoor settings include parking lots and driveways.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee may be occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.

Medium work; exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

TRAVEL: Travel will not be required for this position.
