SUMMARY:
The Human Resources (“HR”) Manager is responsible for all HR services via various HR programs, initiatives and procedures. Responsibilities include providing support for all HR functions as it relates to full cycle recruitment and selection, employee orientation, personnel record-keeping, employee relations, administration of human resources programs and employment policies, payroll, benefits administration, employee training, and compliance with HR laws and regulations.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years in HR Management, corporate background in HR preferably in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of Federal and State regulations relating to pay, insurance, disability, worker's compensation, hiring, FMLA and all other employee issues
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compliance
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Maintain personnel records, I-9 compliance, background checks, and drug screening.
- Oversee OSHA compliance, including reporting and annual postings.
- Conduct quarterly compliance audits and manage employment-related inquiries (e.g., verification requests, unemployment claims).
Talent Identification & Retention
- Manage the hiring process, from job postings to onboarding and new hire training.
- Support team leaders with employee evaluations, training, and career development.
- Maintain and update the company’s organizational chart.
- Oversee employee benefits, including 401(k), health, and dental plans.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Ensure bi-weekly payroll is processed accurately and on time.
- Oversee compliance with payroll policies and procedures.
- Manage benefits administration, including monitoring enrollment and employee inquiries.
Employee Relations & Issue Mitigation
- Advise management and employees on HR policies regarding hiring, discipline, leave, and terminations.
- Conduct investigations and resolve workplace issues, including employee grievances and workers' compensation cases.
- Act as a resource for team leaders in handling employee counseling, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Promote a positive work culture through engagement initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain the HR Management System and recruiting portal.
- Conduct audits related to social compliance, 401(k), and workers' compensation.
- Handle special projects and other tasks assigned by the President/CEO.
