What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving Specialist position at Aspire Pharmaceuticals Inc?
SUMMARY:
Responsible for shipping and receiving functions in warehouses.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Two year college degree or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SHIPPING:
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing of finished goods shipments.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing finished good shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
- Arranges transportation of inbound raw materials when required.
- Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
- Routes items to departments
- Communicates with Quality Assurance regarding expected release/error with an product to meet ship date goas
- Arranges outgoing finished goods for pickups when required
- Direct warehouse personnel in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments
- Perform shipping or receiving activities
- Maintain files of shipping / receiving documents
- Maintain internal logbooks for shipping and receiving
- Prepare packing list and Bill of lading
- Maintain Daily report for shipping and receiving activities of finished goods.
- Maintain inventory control cards for finished products
- Work with Finance Department regard any discrepancies
- Other duties as assigned
RECEIVING:
- Verify/notify the state of materials arriving at facility
- Prepare all receiving documents for Quality Assurance to release
- File Aspire receiving documents in share folder for facility records
- Communicate with procurement on creating PO#s to receive customer material
- Notifies Planning of customer material upon arrival
- Maintains current receiving log books
- Works with PO# non stock items
- Other duties as assigned
