The Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for managing the company’s accounts receivable, project accounting, and financial reporting. This 3 days in office hybrid role, ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, protects company assets, and provides clear financial insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, a focus on accuracy, month end closing, and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and send client invoices, ensuring all costs and client-specific details are accurate, and track billing schedules and collections.
- Communicate with customers to update payment methods and contact information in the accounting system.
- Create reports on collections, overdue payments, revenue recognition, and project financial performance for management.
- Update the financial database by posting journal entries and preparing monthly reconciliation reports.
- Manage daily cash reporting, bank reconciliations, petty cash, and cash flow updates.
- Track and report project costs, including labor, materials, and expenses, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and work-in-progress calculations.
- Handle project-related accounts payable and receivable, including billing and invoicing.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide timely financial updates and analyze project costs, profitability, and margins.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for projects and assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
- Perform additional financial analysis as needed to support business decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting especially accounts receivable, job costing, and GAAP principles.
- Experience with accounting software like Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems with project tracking.
- Proficient in Sage, Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting or a related field paired with 6-8 years of progressive experience.

Location: Hybrid with 2 days being fully remote
