Job Description
The Peaks, a senior living community, and Aspire Transitional Care are collaborating to bring a fully accredited CNA program to the Flagstaff area.
We seek an RN instructor to assist in assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing educational in-services for these two communities.

Training Functions
- Plan, schedule, and teach the course curriculum according to State of Arizona guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records on students, including attendance records, schedules, and course requirements.
- Evaluate and document students' progress through testing, observation, and assessment of skills obtained.
- Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation and interpersonal skills development.
- Deliver instruction using active learning methods accommodating different learning styles.
- Work collaboratively with facility administrators and staff members to integrate clinical instruction.
- Perform assigned duties by the Program Director.
- Develop clinical training assignments and ensure completion.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Makes independent decisions, follows instructions, and accepts constructive criticism.
- Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
- Work effectively with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset individuals within the facility.
Education and Experience
- Hold a current, registered nurse license active and in good standing.
- Document a minimum of one year full-time or 1500 hours providing direct care as a registered nurse.
- OR have one of the following:
- A three-semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- A 40-hour continuing education program in adult teaching and learning concepts awarded by an accredited organization.
- One year of full-time or 1500 hours experience teaching adults as a faculty member or clinical educator.
- One year of full-time or 1500 hours experience supervising nursing assistants.
Licensing/Certifications
You must possess a current and active license to practice as an RN in this state.
