What are the responsibilities and job description for the Culinary Chef position at Aspire Youth & Family, Inc.?
Become a member of the Kids at Work team where at-risk youth learn to communicate well with others in a kitchen environment!
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and experience working with teens. Must be available to work in the after-school and evening hours. Most staff work from 12 pm to 8 pm. Valid North Carolina driver's license, clean background check, and negative drug screen also required.
Responsibilities:
- Teach culinary skills to youth and parents
- Lead psychoeducational groups
- Conduct intakes
- Support youth with current life problems
- Complete daily documentation on student progress
- Communicate with referral sources and court counselors as applicable
- Provide transportation for youth and families to and from the program as needed (via company vehicle or mileage reimbursement)
- Complete monthly reports for court
- Support the Interpersonal Coach during their portion of the class
- Attend staff meetings and clinical supervision sessions
