Position Objectives & Responsibilities:
Strategic BI Ownership
- Lead end-to-end development of BI and analytics solutions—from data integration to reporting—ensuring business impact and scalability.
- Partner with healthcare leadership teams (RCM, finance, operations, clinical stakeholders) to identify data needs and deliver meaningful insights.
- Act as a trusted analytics expert, providing recommendations to optimize financial performance, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
- Work independently to define project scope, establish priorities, and execute deliverables while collaborating with leadership and aligning with business needs.
Data Integration & Engineering
- Manage data ingestion and transformation using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Power Automate, and Azure SQL, ensuring data availability for BI reporting.
- Optimize and structure the BI database to function as a single source of truth for analytics and reporting needs.
- Ensure data quality and governance, implementing frameworks to validate and standardize healthcare data.
Business Intelligence & Analytics Development
- Develop scalable Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models tailored for healthcare operations, revenue cycle management, and financial reporting.
- Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures, ensuring accurate and performance-optimized reporting.
- Design robust data models that align with healthcare-specific KPIs.
- Support self-service BI adoption, training end-users to leverage Power BI for on-demand insights.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Identify inefficiencies in reporting workflows, automating manual processes and improving scalability.
- Help standardize BI development practices, ensuring consistency in data governance, ETL workflows, and reporting structures.
- Collaborate with the BI Director and other Senior Analysts to refine data strategies and long-term analytics architecture.
- Act as a knowledge resource for the upskilling other team members.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or Healthcare Informatics).
- Minimal 4-7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering with a strong focus on healthcare claims and denials data.
- Deep understanding of claims processing, denials management, and revenue cycle operations in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, visualization) and SQL (query optimization, stored procedures, performance tuning).
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Power Automate, and Azure SQL for data transformation and automation.
- Ability to work independently, manage projects from end to end, and communicate effectively with business stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Experience with claims analytics, value-based care reporting, or patient outcome tracking.
- Familiarity with data governance best practices and standardizing healthcare data models.
- Exposure to cloud-based BI platforms, machine learning, or predictive analytics in healthcare.

The starting base salary starts at $100,000. The US base pay is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, location and organizational factors are also considered.
