Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, WI is seeking a MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN / MLS to join our team!

The Laboratory Section Lead Tech acts as the lead tech within one or more laboratory modalities (Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology/Coagulation, Microbiology/Molecular Diagnostics, or Point-of-Care Testing). Has technical oversight of their section with respect to new implementations, quality assurance activities, and training and competency of staff. Performs testing and routine duties of an MLT/MLS.

Will consider Medical Lab Technician or Medical Lab Scientist

HOURS: Part Time or .6 FTE, 48 hours every pay period. Varied shifts.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory standards and practices normally acquired through completion of an Associate Degree in Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Previous applicable experience beneficial.
• Possesses and maintains active Medical Lab Technology (MLT-ASCP) or CLT-NCA certification or equivalent or attains within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification may need to be obtained- All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable CPR training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
