What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector - DSQR/DQR position at ASR INTERNATIONAL?
ASR International Corp has a temporary opening for a Quality Inspector - with DSQR/DQR credentials. This positions provides onsite services at a supplier facility that specializes in the machining, fabrication, and forming of parts and components used in the aerospace/aviation industry. The successful candidate will utilize various inspection equipment to progress work tasks to validate conformance of product(s) thru the manufacturing process. Parts and components inspected include:
- Turbine and jet engine components
- Complex diameter hot-section assemblies
- High temperature materials
- Precision components
Schedule: Monday - Friday, potential for weekend work as needed (40 hours/week, OT hours pay 1.5X)
Job Duties:
- Perform First Piece, In-Process and Final Inspection activities.
- Experience in machined product such as 5-axis machined parts, lathe, hydroforming, tig welding and non-conventional fabrication.
- Inspect Certificates of Conformance from material, external suppliers, and service providers to ensure these items conform to customer purchase order requirements and specifications.
- Perform variety of conventional/traditional inspection operations utilizing various inspection techniques.
- Assist machinists in quality-related activities.
- Assist with First Article Process.
- 5 years of practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on various commodities, including Machined parts, Assemblies and Sub-Assemblies.
- Understanding of Aerospace/Aviation quality standards, including AS9100, AS9102, and ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
- Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders.
- Experience using various mechanical inspection tools - calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections
- DSQR/DQR certified with Pratt & Whitney (highly desired)
- AS9102 Assessment (desired)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Meet ITAR requirements.
