What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carpenter position at ASRC Federal?
SUMMARY: ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex off Spruill Avenue). We are looking for Carpenter.
Requirements:
Must have 2 years of recent experience as a Carpenter.
High School diploma/GED preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and codes.
Must be a US or Naturalized Citizen.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Must be able to push, pull and/or lift 70 lbs.
Clear and effective written and communication skills.
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and physical.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Design and install cabinets, shelves, drywall, and insulation
Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
Paint structures and equipment.
Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks
Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
Hang doors and install door locks.
Consult other construction professionals to ensure the best possible results and the final product
Ability to use hand and power tools, including drills, saws, nail guns, chisels, and sanders
Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and codes
Install wooden structures such as roofing framers, joists, partitions, rafters, and stud work
Build, erect, install, and repair forms, structures, and other fixtures made from wood and other materials as needed to assist with various types of construction projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
