What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Agile/Scrum Master position at ASRC Federal?
ASRC Research and Technology Solutions (ARTS) is seeking a Scrum Master to support the Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) Unified Cyber Situational Awareness (UCSA) program located in Pensacola, FL. The ideal candidate will have one or more active certifications: Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM). We are looking for a servant leader who champions the champions the Agile mindset through effective guidance, coaching, education, and removal of impediments to team progress. This role is responsible for building high-performing teams focused on constantly improving team dynamics and performance. Supports the Release Train Engineer role as needed.
Responsibilities:
Fulfill the role of the Scrum Master by leading Agile teams in the delivery of business-critical requirements.
Report on Program Increment status to provide leadership a clear view of progress toward committed goals.
Organize and facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint/iteration planning, reviews, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, backlog refinements, and other ceremonies as they apply to the teams and train the teams on Agile practices and procedures.
Track and communicate Agile metrics.
Ensure the Scrum Framework is implemented effectively by providing coaching and mentoring at the team level to maximize its benefits.
Assist with making appropriate commitments to deliver business value through story selection, definition of tasks, and estimation.
Periodic travel may be required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience, experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Must meet clearance qualifications such as U.S. citizenship, credit check and background check.
DoD 8570 approved certification baseline security certification for IAT Level II (e.g. Security CE, CISSP).
Have one or more active certifications: Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Scrum Master and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
Previous experience with gathering requirements from Agile tools such as JIRA, Atlassian, Confluence, etc.
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science to STEM related field.
Experience working in an Agile or SAFe Agile software development environment
Experience supporting a software development project building/maintaining web-based software applications/systems.
Experience with Agile coaching and Agile management supporting teams who use Linux and Windows environments.
