ASRC Federal Field Services, a Subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, is currently seeking a Senior Trainer at the Plum Island Animal Disease Research Center, located on Plum Island, NY. (1.5 nautical miles off North Fork of Long Island & 6 nautical miles off coast of Old Saybrook, CT). Marine transportation furnished by Government provided ferry.

Key Role
- Design and deliver programs to train employees in the role of courier for PIADC.
- Develop assessments, tests and workplace aids, and e-learning programs as applicable.
- Conduct training classes and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
- Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing employees for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.
- Serve as mentor for applicable staff.
- 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience in and knowledge of handling Select Agents.
- Must be a US Citizen to meet government contract requirements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain registration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Anti-Bioterrorism Preparedness Act.
- Ability to support a 24 -hour on call environment.
- Knowledge of Plum Island Animal Disease Center biosafety protocols and policies.
- Assignments may require entry into biocontainment facilities, utility plants, a variety of storage buildings and constructions sites. Work within the containment laboratory requires decontamination showers.
- You must be physically able to move freely in environments that are restricted in space, unsteady or otherwise not easily accessible. Ability to climb ladders, and lift to 50 lbs.
