What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Engineer - Level IV position at ASRC Federal?
**Contingent upon the successful contract award to ASRC Federal
We are currently seeking a System Engineer - Level IV to work San Antonio, TX. The System Engineer - Level IV shall perform the following:
Oversees and participates in the design, testing, upgrade and integration of new or existing infrastructure platforms in accordance to the organization’s business requirements.
Documents all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of infrastructure platforms.
Coordinates changes such as implementation of new infrastructure platforms, upgrades or version increments to existing platforms with system administrators and stakeholders.
Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard infrastructure platforms. Performs infrastructure platform modeling, analysis, and planning.
Coordinates with architecture and evaluate new and emerging infrastructure platform technologies and make recommendations for selection of these products.
Assists system administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assists in troubleshooting efforts.
May provide day-to-day operational or administrative duties for deployed infrastructure platforms in lab or production environments.
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
Ability to work with other senior technical and user staff to complete projects.
Plans and leads major technology assignments. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
Level IV performs more independent thinking, complex tasks with little to no supervision compared to a Level III, and may be required to supervise.
Requirements
At least one of the following certifications: CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP ), Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), and/or GIAC Certified Incident Handler Certification (GCIH)
Eight (8) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency
Master’s degree and/or equivalency
U.S. Citizenship and SECRET clearance required
Candidates will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.
