This individual will lead strategic planning efforts, identify and secure new business opportunities, and develop key partnerships to advance the company’s objectives. Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for business development, focusing on expanding ASRT, Inc.'s footprint in the government sector.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align business development strategies with the company's long-term goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and emerging trends within the government contracting space.
- Business Development and Sales:
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Lead the proposal development process, including the preparation of technical and cost proposals, ensuring compliance with government regulations and requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key government officials, prime contractors, and industry partners to enhance ASRT, Inc.'s competitive position.
- Achieve or exceed assigned revenue and growth targets through effective business development strategies and execution.
- Partnership and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government clients, industry partners, and internal teams.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships and alliances that align with ASRT, Inc.'s growth objectives.
- Represent ASRT, Inc. at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company's capabilities and build brand awareness.
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in their efforts to identify, pursue, and capture new business opportunities.
- Ensure continuous improvement in business development processes, tools, and methodologies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy within the government contracting industry.
- Track record of winning government contracts, including experience with the federal procurement process (e.g., FAR/DFARS).
- Strong understanding of government contracting vehicles (e.g., GSA Schedule, IDIQ, GWAC) and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic business development plans that drive growth and profitability.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a focus on building high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior government officials and executives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to travel as needed to support business development activities.
- Existing network of contacts within the government sector and experience working with key government agencies (e.g., CDC, NIH, FDA, DHS, GSA other agencies).
- Experience with CRM tools and business development analytics.
- PMP, CFCM, or similar professional certification.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
