Position Summary
Set up saw and cut material to print specifications for CNC and OBI Press operations
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities
- Reads Job Order for Specifications, such as Material, Type, Size of Stock, and Dimensions to be cut.
- Sets Up and Operates Metal-sawing Machines.
- Obtains and Transfers Stock to Machine.
- Measures Work for Conformance to Specifications
- Perform machine change overs and adjust variances including changeover of saw blades
- Label and tag product
- Fill coolant daily and monitor
- Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance
- Perform all required quality checks and report any defects to QC
- Maintains workstation in neat and clean condition.
- Wear proper PPE at all times and conform to all safety rules and regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have good math skills and accurate measuring skills
- Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to use various offline equipment and basic hand tools required.
- Ability to use pneumatic tools, load extrusions, set up saw using clamping system, adjust height and feed length to specifications
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must have good communication skills
- Basic computer skills are required
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds frequently
